Square Mile to set speed limit to 15mph around the City
In a bid to boost safety for pedestrians and cyclists, the City of London plans to reduce the speed limit to 15mph around the City by 2022, subject to Government approval, Prynn (2019).
In mid-June, Beryl and Freebike are to participate in a six-month pilot for free electric bicycle hire in London. The goal is to encourage a move away from cars in the financial district, where more than 500,00 people daily commute into the City.
